Green Hydrogen joins Bariloche a la Carta

Didactic and informative material will be distributed to people attending the children's performances at the "La Baita" theater on Thursday and Saturday. The electric car will also be at the Bariloche a la Carta, at the Centro Cívico on Sunday and Monday, organized by the Association of Gastronomy and Hotel Businessmen of Bariloche.

"The Secretariat of State for Planning has been developing actions to inform the community about the provincial green hydrogen project," said Natalia Pretz, Secretary of Coordination.

"Green hydrogen is the energy fuel of the future. The potential of our territory because of its location and the strategic promotion policy developed by the provincial government have positioned Río Negro at world level as a potential producer of this type of clean energy", she affirmed.

The winds in Rio Negro and the unique natural conditions have positioned the province as an important factor in the green hydrogen and renewable energy economy. Our province has been working for several years to create a suitable framework for the energy transition by carrying out studies and agreements with international and national organizations. The province also work together with the scientific and technological sector of the province. This sector has been working on the subject for years.

The Provincial Green Hydrogen Strategic Plan has taken a new step in the last months with presentations at international, regional and national events. The aim is to show the guidelines of this Plan to the whole community and for this purpose, activities and programs are being developed in different formats.

For example: the first pre-feasibility studies, the regulations related to the subject, the book that compiles information on the management and the expected scope of the project, and the lectures of more than 60 outstanding local experts on the subject.

"Bariloche will host next year, in May 2023, the Second International Green Hydrogen Assembly, an event that will be attended by businessmen, international officials, institutions and universities. We believe it is important that the people of Río Negro show the importance and expectations that this project has worldwide, that is why we emphasize communication and the promotion of opportunities for citizen participation".
