Expo Bariloche 2027, also with Metaverso as immersive digital experience

Modern technical details and virtual infrastructure will bring a more impressive physical environment to the world's biggest expo.

The main technological challenge will be the so-called metaverso (or Web3). This is a group of three-dimensional environments where humans interact socially and economically through avatars, functioning as a metaphor for the real world, but without its limitations.

The Metaverso is emerging as the next great global technology platform. It can be seen as the direct conceptual interaction of the Internet, which includes a set of real-time applications and experiences on all types of devices.

A simplified overview of the Metaverso ecosystem will enable an immersive digital experience, including components such as the space, a shared virtual world environment, which people can access through the internet, with multi-layered interactions; and the interface, referring to the hardware that helps users access the Metaverso such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) glasses, mobile devices, PC and gaming consoles, smart glasses and other sensory tools.

Metaverso Expo Bariloche 2027 will feature two major models: Digital Twin and Magic World. The first aims to be a copy of the actual construction of the Expo, with the objective of providing a transitional experience between the real world and the virtual one.

The general layout of pavilions and booths in the Digital Twin will be based on the construction plans of the real site and the natural environment where the site will be built. The virtual experience in the Digital Twin will be very similar to a real visit to the Expo.

The Magic World, on the other hand, will not be limited by the actual pavilion to be built in Bariloche, nor by the laws of physics of the real world. With no such limits, it opens up a unique world of possibilities aimed at providing a new experience for all visitors.

One of the key focal points of the magical world, and an ideal way to see this "new beginning" put into practice, will be to raise awareness of the positive ecological, social and economic impact of achieving a balance between Nature and Technology, through virtual simulators.

The MExpo 2027 experience will be 100% interactive, multi-user and permanently persistent: available 24x7, including all changes made during the period of use.
