Río Negro presented the Province's electric car at the National Meeting on Hydrogen 2030
During the National Hydrogen 2030 Meeting, which took place a few days ago in Bariloche, the Province showed the first electric car they bought in order to explain how it works and promote the energy policy that Río Negro is carrying out.

"The two issues that the Governor addressed at the beginning of the administration are a more environmental friendly productive development and the diversification of the provincial energy matrix," explained the Secretary of State for Planning, Daniel Sanguinetti.
"The development of alternative energies and limiting CO2 emissions represent a great opportunity to improve the quality of life of the people of Río Negro, and allow us to continue moving forward to this beneficial process that is positioning Río Negro in the world", he added.
Sanguinetti highlighted the quality and uniqueness of the natural resources of the region, as well as the expertise of the scientists who are working in different parts of the province.
The meeting was a suitable opportunity to show to national authorities and other provinces, as well as to representatives of the sector, tourists and citizens the new vehicle, a Nissan Leaf, 100% electric, which has a 110 kW engine, 147 HP, 329 of torque (nm) and a 40 kWh laminated lithium-ion battery.
"I believe that today Rio Negro is at vanguard, at national level, in terms of research and implementation of projects that promote good habits for the care of our planet, due to the commitment of citizens, the training of the referents of the scientific and technological sector and a determined political decision," he concluded.
