In the bilateral meeting between the Governor, Arabela Carreras, and Andrew Forrest, president of Fortescue Future Industries, the leader of the Australian company confirmed that the investment in Río Negro is one of the largest in the world, carried out by this multinational company focused on green projects for the planet.

The building of a plant for the production of green hydrogen in Río Negro is advancing solidly, with the aim of generating genuine jobs, local development and inter-institutional work with the different communities and their representatives.

Forrest also expressed his appreciation to the Governor for the process of consensus and unanimous approval of the key laws that provide the regulatory framework in Rio Negro to bid for the production of green hydrogen in the province.
The CEO of Fortescue Future Industries, Julie Shuttleworth; the National Minister of Productive Development, Matías Kulfas; the president for Latin America of FFI, Agustín Pichot; and the provincial Secretary of State for Planning, Daniel Sanguinetti, were also present at the meeting.
