The presentation was in charge of the Secretary of State for Planning, Daniel Sanguinetti, who in the Kirchner Cultural Center and before an audience full of representatives of the provinces, explained how Río Negro achieved that the highest investment of the century in Argentina was destined to this province, in terms of production of clean energies to mitigate the effects of climate change.
With several initiatives, Río Negro is at the forefront of the production of alternative energies that contribute to environmental sustainability.
In an interactive presentation, whose beginning was in charge of Lihuen -the teenager from Sierra Grande with a significant presence in social networks-, Sanguinetti emphasized that the aim of the province is to generate the necessary synergy between the public and private sectors, so that development policies become a priority.
"Although we have been studying climate change in Río Negro for more than 20 years, since Governor Arabela Carreras started her administration, we focused on Green Hydrogen and developed a strategic plan that set out a main work strategy", said Sanguinetti.
In this regard, he explained that a work agenda was organized between public and private sectors that included an inventory of greenhouse gases, the creation of the Green Hydrogen Table of Rio Negro, the Green Hydrogen Thursdays and the subsequent publication of a book; and the conceptual engineering study by the German research organization Fraunhofer, with its subsequent pre-feasibility study.
"We organized more than 50 talks and for more than 7 months scientists have been explaining to the people what Green Hydrogen is and what is the Government's idea regarding renewable energies", he said.
In addition, the Secretary revealed that after the company Fortescue Future Industries showed interest, a three-party work plan was designed between the Nation, the Province and the Australian company, and a general agreement was drawn up.
"To produce Green Hydrogen, Rio Negro has a strategic place and unique natural resources, together with the appropriate infrastructure and the existence of a technological scientific center of world-wide recognition", he emphasized.
Finally, he assured that the Province has its accounts in order, which makes it a reliable scenario in economic matters for potential investors.
The meeting was organized by the Federal Investment Council and 14 provinces shared innovation projects and policies in order to promote the exchange and convey knowledge.
